Ex-Congressman George Santos Is Sentenced to More Than 7 Years in Prison

Federal prosecutors had said Mr. Santos, whose pattern of lies and fraud led to his expulsion from Congress, should receive a lengthy sentence to “protect the public” from future fraud.George Santos said during his sentencing that he had “betrayed the confidence entrusted to me” by the American people. He was given until July 25 to surrender.
